Noosa National Park

In just 10 minutes walk from The Sebel Resort Noosa, you can be in one on Australia’s favourite national parks – Noosa National Park.

NOOSA NATIONAL PARK

A diverse coastal park, the 477ha Noosa National Park includes a mixture of heathland, woodland and rainforest. A scenic coastal walk winds along several sheltered bays with beautiful, secluded beaches to a headland with sweeping views. The visitor information centre at the entrance to the park provides all the information you’ll need and there is a lovely picnic area here.

If you look carefully in the trees along the start of the trail, it is possible to see koalas.

There are several popular walking trails in Noosa National Park:

Palm Grove circuit – 1km

An easy self guided, sign-posted walk, starting at the picnic area and winding through rainforest with hoop pines and piccabeen palms.

Tanglewood track – 4.2km to Hells Gates

Starting by the picnic area, this walk features rainforest, open eucalypt woodlands and wallum heathlands. When you get to Hells Gates, you can return via the coastal track. Stay well clear of all cliff edges.

Noosa Hill track – 3.4km circuit

A steady uphill grade leads through open eucalypt woodlands and shrublands to the top of Noosa Hill. The vegetation is too thick for coast views.

Coastal track – 2.7km to Hells Gates

The track leads along the shoreline and around several headlands – lookouts along the way provide great views. The coves are ideal for swimming, relaxing and picnicking.

Alexandria Bay tracks

Starting from Sunshine Beach (Parkedge Road) it’s 2.3km to Alexandria Bay or 1.2km from McAnally Drive. Both tracks wind through woodlands and open heathland and there are occasional coastal views.

Visitor Information Centre, Hastings Street, Noosa Heads; open daily 9am–5pm. 5447 4988
